It would be a lot easier to use the CXTPReportFilterEditControl if it was derived from CXTPControl. I am trying to add one to a ribbon group, but it isn't working well. So far, I am trying to make it work as a custom control, but it isn't working. In this case, I am not getting OnCreateControl message for it, so it isn't being initialized properly.
Edit: I did some debugging, and it appears that I only get the OnCreateControl message for Controls that load menu items, such as xtpControlSplitButtonPopup |

Hi,
that's unfortunately not possible, because the Report Control is also sold as a single control without the CommandBars. I'll look into a solution to host it on the CommandBar. Andre |

I'm sure there would be some way to do it. That doesn't help me now in any case. Any idea why OnCreateControl isn't being triggered by any ribbon controls that don't contain menus?

Well, it's more than a bit bogus, but if you use SetButtons instead of add to add the cusatom control, OnCreateControl gets called properly. Of course, you need to set the controlType in that case, but it works...
