I've created an invisible message bar, and then I show it later on. The code below works in your sample, but in my application it is hidden below my panes (if I make all my panes floating I can see the message bar). What could be wrong?!
m_wndMessageBar.ShowWindow(SW_SHOW);
GetCommandBars()->RedrawCommandBars();

Note that I'm using an SDI without doc/view! Just an SDI with panes (and client hidden).
