Hi,

In the Command Bars / Common Controls the slider bar contains a horizontal slider.

My dream: when the user docks the bar vertically I get a notification and change the orientation of the slider to vertical.

I would like:
  1. To know when a bar is being docked / orientation is changed - couldn't find the notification.
  2. To know how to tell the Command Bar(s) that the dimensions of a control have changed and, as a result the layout should be recalculated.
Currently I am contemplating destroying / re-creating the slider when the orientation changes. I could possibly do this via the OnUpdate... member, but it would be best to do this via a docking notirfication.

Help - what's the professional solution?

This is not urgent - but would be a great 'to have' solution. I can live without it, just wait until my crazed users get their paws on the software!

hI,

1. You can override CutomControl and its SetRect method.
2. Just call pToolBar->OnRecalcLayout when size was changed.
