In an SDI application I have several normal CXTPToolBar's and several normal MFC CDialogBars. I cannot dock A CXTPToolBar directly below or directly above a CDialogBar. Why not?

Hello,
They use different docking parent windows. You can use CXTPDialogBar instead CDialogBar.

I wish it was that easy to use CXTPDialogBar instead of CDialogBar. In my humble opinion the worst mistake ever made was the creation of the current CXTPDialogBar. All most of us wanted was theme support in the standard CDialogBar, using perhaps a CDialogBarEx. Instead we got more of a toolkitpro hybrid controlbar/panemanager concept to replace CDialogBar.
I have tried many times (including now) to replace the MFC CDialogBar with the CXTPToolBar and or CXTPDialogBar and it just cannot be done in most cases. Even very simple CDialogBar replacements end up being a nightmare and many times lose lots of fuctionality. What a nightmare!
This is one reason we have looked many times at the other toolkits as a replacement to Codejock.
