Pane Caption Menu Button: style does not work

   I set following style for DockingPaneManager:
DockingPaneManager.VisualTheme = ThemeOffice2007

Now I would like to change style for the menu buttons:
DockingPaneManager.PaintManager.CaptionButtonStyle =PaneCaptionButtonOffice2003

Question #1:
I tried all the styles for these buttons but I did not notice any changes. Button always looks the same. Is it by design?
Question #2:
Why does the menu button dissapear when the pane is floating?
