I have form that is skinned using the WinXP Royale style and when I change the Windows Appearence from Blue to Olive Green or Silver by the Display Properties the following occurs: 1) Text Box highlight color changes to the new scheme color defined by the OS and not the Royale Style 2) Combo Box highlight color changes to the new scheme color defined by the OS and not the Royale Style 3) All other controls and form colors appear to be correct
Are 1 and 2 known bugs?

Hello, For WinXp if you place manifest, the result executable will have no this problem. For other OSes it can't be changed :( |

Please explain further as this skinning stuff is new to me. I have a main exe file that uses several ActiveX DLL modules which all contains various forms. All are written in VB6. How do I go about creating a manifest for this type of application? Is there more documentation you can point me to? |

Just copy any XXX.exe.manifest from our samples and rename it to match you application exe name. it just manifest for comCtl32.dll version 6.0 to enable themed controls (buttons, etc). |
