Hello. This may seem like a dumb question, but I'm hoping someone can please provide me some information. I have a program that is written in Visual Basic 6 (32-bit compiler only). I have a setup that I created for this VB6 application which has been working great for Windows XP and Windows 7 x86 installations.
I'm now having to make my setup for 64-bit operating systems. My question is can I (or should I) deploy the CodeJock x64 controls with my setup rather than the 32-bit OCX? Even though my application is written and compiled in VB6 (using the x86 components). I'm a bit confused as to whether I need to have used and compiled my app with the 64-bit components in order to really utilize/deploy them. Any help would be appreciated. Sorry again for the newbie question. Thank you for your time. Best Regards, DataCrypt |
