I have a task panel that I can unpin so that it auto hides. If I start a command that adds a dialog to the task panel and the dialog has a combo box on it and the user hits F4, the combo box shows its dropdown.

If I unhide and hide the task panel, the problem does not show up.

Also, if the panel is not hidden when the command is started and then I hide it, the problem does not show up.

How can I prevent this from happening without trying to determine if the panel is hidden or not each time a combo box (or who knows what other controls may do) tries to show its dropdown?
