I have a toolbar that could be longer than the available screen therefore I need to show the expand button. However, when I have this property set to true, it also shows the drop down that contains "Add or Remove Buttons" and I don't want this option to show. How can I hide it?
Thanks.

Try disabling customization for that toolbar.
Let me know if this works for you. :] |

That didn't do it, but I found it. It was the ShowExpandBarAlways property.

amadison, or anyone else that might have an idea on this. Do you know if the ShowExpandBarAlways is only in the latest version of the XtremeToolKit? I have version 12.1.1 and can't find any mention of the ShowExpandbarAlways property.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Lewis |

Ok, I found the option we are talking about. It is the GetCommandBars()->GetCommandBarOptions->bShowExpandButtonAlways option I presume.
Anyway, I tried setting this option to TRUE and I get the standard drop down at the end of the toolbar with the extra buttons that couldn't fit onto the toolbar...but unfortunately I still get the "Add or Remove Buttons" button. Any other ideas anyone on how I can have this dropdown without the "Add or Remove buttons" button. Thanks for the help, Lewis |

I just realised that this forum isn't related to C++ / MFC. I should make a new posting in the other forum.
