Slide out pane without tab

   I like how the pane slides out and is attached to the application as opposed to how a Windows dialog box floats over the application - the pane looks attached. But I don't want the tabs to show when a pane is hidden. I will slide the pane show / hide manually in my code.

Is there a way to have slide out panes without a tab showing up when it's hidden? Kind of like what the call "Sheets" in Mac software.
