Hello! I have a PropertyGridItem derived class and in my PropertyGrid I want to create an instance of this class. Then I want to add this instance to the PropertyGrid.

This Item has no category and I want it to be non categorized while all other items of the same PropertyGrid are categorized.
Actually I'm trying to solve this by moving PropertyGridView::InsertItem from private to public, but this solution (actually not working as PropertyGridItem is not fully initialized) requires me to modify PropertyGridView.h in all new releases.

Is there another way to do this without the need to modify Codejock sources on each new release?

Thanks for any hint
Paolo

Just an update from previous post, but the need to change Codejock sources in new releases still remains.

I've been able to complete my task by moving PropertyGridView::InsertItem from private to public.

I create and instance of my class, set it's PropertyGridView and add it.

PropertyGridItem *pItem = new PropertyGridItem();

CXTPPropertyGridView *pPropertyGridView = &GetGridView();
pItem->setPropertyGridView(pPropertyGridView );

GetGridView().InsertItem(pItem, GetCount());
