Hi,

My name is Renan Elias, and I'm a software developer from Paiva Piovesan, Brazil.
We are developing a new function in our system that will disable some commandbars controls.
In the commandbar, there are some popup menus and, if we set visible false to all control children of parents, when we click in the popup, show an ugly box without anything.

I'm sending a picture attached to this message to show the problema.

How can I set visible false in the popup if there are no visible childs?

OBS: I'm using VB6 and event "commandbar_update" to set visible true or false.

tks.

if there are no child items, then why not hide the entire menu?  If not, the you would need to change the control type until items are added.

Definitely.
I would say use the commandbar_actions feature.
And Mario is right, if you have no child items just use a control other than the popup menu style.
