I was trying to substitute a VB ComboBox with the CJ ComboBox.
VB6 sp5 New form, only 2 controls on form to test. The two Issues I have: Type:0-Dropdown combo VB: setting .text will fire _Change event CJ: no event Type:2-Dropdown list VB: setting .text will fire _Click event. CJ: no event Is this normal behavior for CodeJock combobox? |

I cannot confirm if this is the intended bevahiour or not at the moment. But I can say:
(1) That CodeJock controls are not an exact replica of MS controls when it comes to events, peoperties etc. They work well but there are differences.
(2) If the behaviour is as you described then head over to the BETA thread for V12 and make a request that they fire the events you are looking for. Its cutting it fine but you never know - they may get it into V12.
(3) If it your request doesnt make V12, CJ are very good at "point" releases and 12.1 could well have your requests. Just make sure that you can provide clear evidence of the bevaiour of the MS controls. I had a similar issue with command buttons at CJ were happy to add the change I submitted.

Thanks for the quick response.
I have been very happy with all the codejock controls so far, and it's amazing to have it fixed so fast. |
