Allowing user to type in menu

   I think I saw a codejock demo once, where a user could select a menu item, and then type into the menu - IIRC, this allows a user to select a menu from a menu list that would be too long.

Does anyone know how I may find that sample - or how I may replicate the behaviour I described above?
