combo box button down notification

 

Inside my report control I need to populate a combo box each time it is opened.

 

I am using XTP_NM_REPORT_BUTTON_DOWN notification to create the combo box entries and display the arrow button.

 

Notification does not come in the case when the combo box was opened and then closed with no selection (it happens if you click on the arrow twice or open the combo box and then click anywhere inside the cell that displays the control). I get no further notifications if I keep clicking on the arrow or inside the combo box.  If the selection was made, all goes well.

 

Is there any notification I could watch for when the combo box opens or closes?
