How long do you think us VB6 users can rely on support and development of the ActiveX suite? I suppose you'll drop support only if sales are dropped to a bare minimum but can you do some estimate?
I'm evaluating a migration of our code base from another 3rd party menus+toolbars control and just wondering if it's worth the effort at current time. cheers, </wqw> |

Then I hope you don't have troubles with your eyes anytime soon! :-)) I've already recommended your ActiveX Suite for immediate purchase. Can't believe we've been using ActiveBar for so long! cheers, </wqw> |

And that is why I am migrating all my UI elements to Codejock Software. Not only are they of absolute top-tier quality, knowing that you will be around to support these controls for the forseeable future is adding years to my life.
Only thing holding me back right now is the Ribbon design-time Designer. I need that badly. Any timeframe?

Hello,
With 11.2 we will add Ribbon XML feature - you wil be able to modify Controls in XML file and load it in vb. Designer will be later.
11.2 will be published in beginning of September.
Thanks.

Yes, but is there a visual way to create the Ribbon UI from the designer from scratch? I need to be able to create the Ribbon interface visually within a designer UI. Is this what u are referring to?

Furthermore, Oleg...
I think that the one thing that is forgotten here is that classic VB users are accustomed to designing their UIs very rapidly with less coding than is required as with other programming platforms.
I know for me, even though I absolutely LOVE the way the Codejock suite of products look visually...it is too much of a huge task to have to write so much code instead of being able to drop a control onto a form and tweaking Properties to achieve the desired results via a Design-time interface/designer. I know I am not alone in this thinking. I like to try different things visually before committing to them, and without the designer I'm stuck.
PLEASE! Don't abandon your loyal VB6/legacy programmers who NEED this functionality to be able to use your controls both effectively and efficiently. I'm geniunely concerned.
