What is ImageControl ? Are you sure fileIcon.Image.Handle is HICON type? may be it is HBITMAP so try to use AddBitmap. Suggest you to use our ImageManager control instead. Set files.Icons = ImageManager.Icons |

sorry, i meant PictureBox.
If i use addbitmap (alpha false) i get a black box instead of an icon. if i use addbitmap (alpha true) i dont get anything again. whats wrong? PS: what i am doing is, adding the icon of a filetype to a picturebox and then add this image to the list. |

i worked this aroud by adding the icons to a imagelist and then adding the imagelist to your ImageManager.
BUT: the iconsize reportcontrols supports is about 13*13. it should be able to support 16*16. that is the small-fileimage-size (normal listview) so i cant use images in this reportcontrol. thank you |

Why you use imagelist? add icons to ImageManager directly from file or from resource. Attach sample project with code you try and I will fix it. |

i think this wont work in any case.
the icons displayes by the report control are 13*13 px. the icons i get for the filesystem (small file-icons) are 16*16, if they get resized you cant recognize them anymore. i think there is enough space to display 16*16 icons (or there should be). thank you. |
