Disabled caption and dead sysmenu...

   I am using Ribbon Bars (office 2007 style) in my app and somehow, my caption bar doesn't work.  the "close" button is dead and only half the ribbon bar icon gets drawn.  the only thing that seems to work on the caption bar is that double-clicking will maximize the window.

my RibbonMDISample seems to work fine, and i can't find any differences ni the code.  I know this is weird, but does anybody have any ideas?
