Hi,
we have a strange focus problem using DockingPane I've attached a very simple test program, with a main form using DockingPane control, and 2 subforms with a Webbrowser control. I'll try to describe how to replicate the problem: 1) insert something in the search field in the first browser (ex. "Codejock") 2) Insert something in the search field of the second browser (ex. "Test") 3) Now if you go back to the first browser and try to move inside the textbox using arrow keys or using DELETE to edit the textbox content, it doesn't work ![]() |

This seems to be a problem of the Codejock Webbrowser Control ?!
I took your project an replaces the CodeJock WB-Control with the Microsoft Internet Browser an the problem did not exist any more. Arrow keys and Focus ist working properly.

Hi cbickel, yes i think it's some kind of problem due to combination of CodeJock's WebBrowser and DockingPane

I am hoping CodeJock will consider allowing their user base more control over the WebBrowser if they allow us more control over the IDocHostUIHandler. For example, I am trying to support tabbing through the form controls in a WebBrowser control in my application and it cannot be done. Something to do with the TranslateAccelerator method of the IOleInPlaceActiveObject.
I do not know if this addresses your issue, but it would be a huge help if CodeJock would allow more control over the keystroke events of the webbrowser. All of the code is already written for Codejock, they just need to implement it. The code is available via the wbCustomizer.dll at, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/183235 The code is written in C++ and could easily be ported to the CodeJock WebBrowser control. The only reason I am not using it is because when I assign the webbrowser to the wbCustomizer, I can no longer select text. Very frustrating. I am sure CodeJock could figure out how to code this properly and that would make life so much easer for so many people who work with the webbrowser control. I am going to go to the wish list and ask them to implement this. Cheers, John |
