I am running your calendar sample with no modifications whatsoever.  I open up the data provider, with toolbar option, and select the MAPI provider.  if i do this a number of times, then stop the program i get the dreaded error message:

Visual Basic has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience.

I'm running VB6, sp6 on Windows XP Pro with SP2.  If i complile the program and run the executable and then exit the program the error message comes again.  What would cause this.

I have even reinstalled VB6 and the sp6.

I have also incorported your sample calandar project, into my project without modication and instead of selecting the MAPI provider from the toolbar, i set it as the default provider upon running (only modication).  I get the same error.

Please Help??????????  Need to get this fixed.

Hi Tim,

This looks to be a bug in MAPI provider itself. It will be fixed for the next version. Or contact support area if you need an immediate fix for that.
