Is it possible to have the shortcut bar in a docking pane?

I've got it set up OK ish to the point where if I click the shortcut bar the releveant pane appears but if I move the mouse over one of the other shortcut bars the pane disappears to a white window (mouse hotspots seem to still work).

Is this an issue with the docking pane?

I've now changed my shortcut panes to contain the same as the "mail" pane in the shortcut bars sample. Whenever a pane is either activated or the app starts up the two sub-panes appear as normal with the contents visible. As soon as the mouse either enters or leaves one of the shortcut bars the sub panes both become blank (i.e. all the contents disappear). The sub panes are still there, I can see both the caption bars.
