display long popup menu - how?

   When i open popup menu long strings truncated and replaced by ellipses,just like

wery long str...

i need to show full string, whithout truncation, extremly need help!
right before 
popup.showpopup()
 i try to place something like popup.width = <any width>, but there no reflection to result

	Hi, try setting the width of the control with longest string. like control.width = <any width> regards,
