I am using a task panel and I want to get the colors being used when setting a custom theme such as the CXTPTaskPanelExplorerThemePlain. I tried getting the background color. On XP, my panel appears to be drawing a slight gradient base on blue hues. However the background returned is black.

How do I obtain the two gradient colors being used to fill the task panel?
