Check the DatePicker Sample provided by CJ. It has a combo with a drop down datepicker in it.

The Combo sample you refer to jcollier is a hack and completely unprofessional. Anyone who has gone to the trouble of buying this suite of controls obviously cares about their GUI and would not be happy using something like this.
I am, like tejsingh, looking for viable solution to this hole in the Calendar product and hope that CJ will include one in the near future.
As a side not this a post I made a while back which may be an alternative for you https://forum.codejock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=2351&KW=Planet&PID=6986#6986
