Hi, Hopefully somebody can help answer this question. I have used the ReportControl to create a complex document layout therefore it relies on the MergeItems for many areas of the report and a few cells must be editable for the users, so far all is fine. However when I click on an editable cell that has been merged with the cells to the right of it the merged area is not editable, it's only the width of the cell that's visibly editable. This can make the editing of the cell quite hard to see what has been typed if the text is wider than the column. Is there a way to show the editable area as the entire width of the merged cells?

Maybe a picture will help you see my issue that I tried to describe above. Can someone please advise if this is the limitation, therefore I will just have to allow edit via a popup display.

 Hi Xander,
Seems we need: Column.EditOptions.EditControlStyle = xtpEditStyleMergedCell btw Editing MergedCells doesn't look that great, so you definitely need Andre to get this right. Good luck   | |

Hi, this is unfortunately a current limitation. You can expect an update within the next 4-6 weeks. Andre

Andre, Thanks for the news on this, I will look forward to testing this out as I am soon to start a big project that will rely on the ReportControl and MergeItems with editable areas.

Andre, Has there been any movement on this issue? I have installed the hotfix v15.2.1.0221 and this appears to be still present. If this is a limitation that cannot be resolved then I will just have to stick with my workaround of displaying a popup box instead, however it would be nice to do this from the ReportControl itself.
