When you have panes floating on a second monitor, when it is disconnected you can no longer access them. They appear to be outside screen. This behavior can be see in the pane.exe sample app.

Is there a fix or workaround for this problem?

Maybe solution for your users can be exit and run again - Load layout will correctly move floating window.
