Hi Everyone...

If anyone is interested, we just posted an update to the help system for Visual Studio .NET. You can go to this URL:

http://www.codejock.com/downloads/index.asp?dev=mfc&prod =xtpro&ver=vc71

and download the Help 2.0 setup. This will integrate help for Visual Studio .NET. This will become part of the standard installation with the next major release.

Kind regards,
Kirk Stowell

What is the point to integrate XTP into MSDN if there are no index files in this package?

It didn't work for me anyway. Having run the installer, no sign of the codejock 'help' in the VS.NET 2003 help.

The help installation has been updated to correct the problem with the index not displaying correctly. Please download the version that was posted earlier, uninstall the old version and reinstall the new version of help.

The help documentation will not be visible when you directly view the MSDN Library you will however see the Codejock help integrated with the Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 Help Collection.

The purpose for this is to provide access to the help documentation  from within Visual Studio .NET which includes F1 key support when you select an Xtreme Toolkit Pro class or member name.

To view the integrated documentation you can run Visual Studio .NET and select the Contents tab as seen here:

You can also view the documentation outside of Visual Studio .NET by selecting Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 Documentation from the Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 start menu.

The integration is very good. I will be using it a lot, I was missing the F1 for CodeJock methods.

I would like to know what tools have you use to create this integration with MsDev. This could be a plus for our product too.

Unfortunately, this seems not to work with foreign, that is non-english Visual Studio .NET packages. Or should it?

Installing the help system on an English Visual Studio .NET 7.1 works, Installing the help system on a German Visual Studio .NET 7.1 does not...
