I can build all of the sample applicaitons, but every time I go to run them, I get the infamous "The application failed to initialize properly (...).  Click on OK to terminate the application."  Can anyone offer some advice on how to resolve this?

     Product: Xtreme ToolkitPro 2009 (MFC) version 13.2.1
     Platform: Windows XP (32bit) - SP 2
     Language: C++

Thanks for your time,
~DPD

Hi,

Do you have evaluating vesion ?

Problem can be in difference in lib file used to compile toolkit and used to compile sample. Maybe some service pack was installed after you build toolkit. Try to rebuild it.

Yes, I have the evaluation copy.  I probably should have specified that above, as that would probably have been helpful.  Would I have access to the source when I only have an evaluation copy?  Probably not.

Hi,

I have the same problem on the evaluation copy. I work on Visual Studio 2005 with SP1 (I didn't find any other service pack for this edition), Windows XP Pro SP3 and I cannot run any of the sample applications.

More details about the error:

LDR: LdrpWalkImportDescriptor() failed to probe c:\Program Files\Codejock Software\MFC\Xtreme ToolkitPro v13.2.1\Bin\vc80\ToolkitProEval1321vc80D.dll for its manifest, ntstatus 0xc0150002
Debugger:: An unhandled non-continuable exception was thrown during process load
The program '[180] RibbonControlsD.exe: Native' has exited with code -1072365566 (0xc0150002).

I have on my PC both VC 2002 and VC 2005 SP1; the 2002 version worked but there seems to be a problem with the other version;
I tried to install the library on a VISTA Home Edition and the installation wizard crash when I press "Install" button (at the step where the actual installation begins).

Hello,

evaluate now with vc2002 - with retail version you will be able compile dll using your lib and dll and won't see such problem.
