Is there a way of changing the highlight colour of listboxes and comboboxes?
By changing the Highlight property in System Metrics I can get the menu highlight and the selected text in textboxes to change from the default blue but I can find no way to change the highlight colour from blue in listboxes and comboboxes.
Thank you

Hi,
Add Manifest to your application and run as exe. It will change color then.

After searching the forum for info on 'manifest' I have uncovered another reference for skinning a DBList control where you suggest adding a manifest.
However I can find no information on the manifest and how this is created for specific controls.
If this is in fact a manifest for invoking themed controls in general (either a manifest file or one embedded as a resource ) then I have already tried this and found that the combobox and listbox highlights are still blue.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
I am using VB6 by the way.

Just copy a manifest file from any of the VB samples and rename it. Make sure it is in the same directory as the exe.

This does work on XP but on Vista the highlight colour of listboxes or comboboxes stay blue.
Just to prove the manifest was OK I even loaded my skin (or any other skin) into your SkinControls example.
The highlight never changes colour on Vista.
Thank you
