It seems that bUseMask has no affect to behavior of the Mask Edit control. I've tried to set it to FALSE but the control continues to filter my input.

This problem has been corrected and the fix will appear in the next product release.  Please feel free to contact support if you need this sooner and we will provide you with the updated mask edit files.
