Hi, I've noticed menus drawing being a bit slow on drawing, so i did some testing on that in detail. To give it a fair test, let's compare your VS.NET demo called GUI_VisualStudio7.exe with the actual VS.NET. Run VS.NET, click on menu item "File" with the left mouse button, and then start moving the mouse cursor along the top menu pane, allowing pop-up menus fall down as you move the cursor. Drawing is fast and slick. My task manager indicated just 5% of the CPU consumption. Now let's do the same in your GUI_VisualStudio7.exe. Menu drawing is so slow my fast PC cannot even keep up updating menus underneath mouse cursor, they just jump right where the mouse currently is. Task Manager shows an average of 30% CPU consumption. Any comments? Regards, Vitaly Tomilov

P.S. And in that GUI_VisualStudio7.exe demo, whenever i run it, the client area is all black, and it remains so till i resize the containing frame, so right then it redraws, and shows your company's logo and all it should.
