    Posted: 02 March 2009 at 4:43am
Hi

Would it not be wise to make the Zoom Slider work like Office 2007, whereby it locks to 100% to make it easier to get back to 100% zoom, as right now we have to implement this ourselves :(

Thank you,
Terry Mancey

So are you saying recently in a new build you added it so it now makes it easier to drag the arrow to 100%, where it locks on to the target (as such)??? as this was not the case with previous versions to 13.0.0

I have just tried your sample and all previous ones, it does not lock to 100%, maybe I am not explaining well.

In Office 2007 if you drag the slider it moves smoothly until it is close to 100% and if close within a few pixels it then snaps to 100%, this makes it much easier for users to return to 100%

Ok it may seem the first beta we had with Zoom Slider did not do this :) and we have never checked your sample since.  You are quite right you now have it, and it is working great.

Except that in Office 2007 it actually snaps the marker to 100% if between 90% and 150% but with your version the marker still moves but gives 100%???  Is there an easy workaround as tried many things to get marker to stick at 100% while snapped

Thank you,

Hi

This is correct, however in Office 2007 it does not move when on 100% until you snap away from 100%, is there currently a way we can implement this as we prefer our app to work exactly like Office 2007, as looks much nicer.

Thank you,

Thanks, as at least I know not to keep trying.  Is this something you plan to add in a future release?

Also did you see my post about Pin-able Recent Documents like Office 2007 as you said this was planned for future release way back on v11 :)
