    Posted: 26 May 2008 at 9:39am
Hi,

I'm trying to add markup tooltips to ReportControl. I tried and tried but no result. The skin on the back of my head is already showing

The only thing is missing is the icon before "Press F1 for more help" (tooltip reportcontrol). The tooltip for commandbars is OK, well see for yourself if you want to. Would anybody be so kind and show me how to add the icon (see function LoadImages) in the tooltip before I look just like Kojak

Oleg,

You are joking, right? I spent hours searching for nothing

One question though: If I want to build all my tooltips this way, can I expect more of these "snakes in the grass" ?

If there are any I would be glad if you tell me in advance!

Thank you

Hi,

Why do you need to add it. I'm a little confused right now.

This seems to be problem with markup rendering for report control as doesn't show image even when supplied as file path (as opposed to imagemanager id).

HI,

Markup for each control search images in icons of globalsettings. Currently there is only CommandBarsGlobalSettings.Icons and SuiteControlsGlobalSettings.Icons properties.

Oleg,

If I would do this:

CommandBars.GlobalSettings.Icons.RemoveAll
CommandBars.Icons.RemoveAll
CommandBars.Icons.LoadIcon App.Path & "\Events.ico", ID_TOOLBAR_REPORTS_HELP, xtpImageNormal

Would there still be an icon in GlobalSettings.Icons ? (because this still works with my sample)

Do you use Options.UseSharedImageList = True ?  If so, then the icons will get added to GlobalSettings.

Hi,

What GlobalSettings? Commandbars.GlobalSettings or ReportControl.GlobalSettings or .GlobalSettings... What do you mean SuperMario?

See the uploaded sample yourself, maybe I'm missing something...

SuperMario,

I don't get it, you have to explain. See the sample project I uploaded and add comment or change code how this should be done.

Thanks

Hi,

Added in V12.0.1: ReportControlGlobalSettings.Icons property seems to solve the problem like Oleg said
