I was testing printpreview and it appears to force AutoColumnSizing = True.
If the user resizes columns or sets FullColumnScrolling = True / AutoColumnSizing = False the preview still shows as the original AutoColumnSizing Width. Is there a setting I am not seeing to print preview for exact column widths? Thanks, Darryl PS: I also tested with ReportSample and it has the same issue. |

Hi,
The columns of the report will be scaled, to fit the PrintPreview. I guess this is normal behaviour. Maybe Custom Preview drawing will handle these kind of special options for you. I checked the help but it's not clear how to do this.
Maybe our support team can help us out here. Oleeeeeeg !!!!! a sample would be great

In my eyes this behaviour is neither normal nor does it make sense. My users want to print or preview the record list in the same way it is displayed at the screen. Beyond this I want to decide how the columns are formatted... At least a new property for manipulating this behaviour is a must have for ReportControls PrintPreview. Controls from other vendors could manage this too. Support, are there plans to implement such a feature in the near future? |

i second you peter. seems like its at the bottom of priority list for CJ. for version 12.0 they added the printpreview class for toolkitpro, so hope in the near future they will add for activex. :( hyperlink not behaving properly. You can view the printpreview here: http://www.codejock.com/public/assets/img/products/releasenotes/screen_PrintPreview.gif |

Hi,
@Joeliner and Peter: strange that you didn't reply on my post regarding Managing Columns? This would be the time and place to let CJ know what you want. Do you think I post it for fun? But there is still time
Thanks

I hope they give us some option here. My users are VERY happy with
the report control. My issue now is when the users say "Can you add just one more column", my current response has to be "Yes, but then you can not print" (because columns are truncated) Thanks for listening, Darryl |
