I can't find any documentation about how the skin theme file is created. samples include bunch of png files and an ini file, which are not known how to be created. Where can i find the information?

Hi,
For 12.0 release we will include SkinBuilder application that will help to create new skins.

The one i am using is 11.3. What i need is a tutorial on how to create skin files, like those used in your samples. Plus can you tell me the difference between theme and skin? Theme seems to be a desktop makeover while skin only applies to an application. How codejock define the difference?
 
Do I need to purchase upgrade to use version 12?

Sorry, we don't have description for ini files. it used scema defined  by Microsoft. when 12.0 will be ready, you can download SkinBuilder and use it for your 11.3.
