I'm using menus created in the command bar designer with the xtpThemeOffice2003 selected. The menus look great except over any OpenGL rendering window. These windows are updated (redrawn) at a specific frequency (60FPS) because they are showing animated objects. The problem is the menus have a shadow and whatever part of the shadow is over the OpenGL window flickers constantly as long as the menu is open. Obviously the shadow is being drawn outside the rectangle that the menu window is reporting as its size which is why the shadow is being erased with every refresh but the menu window is not. Is there a way to A) Remove the shadow from the menus?, or B) Fix the flickered drawing of the shadow?, or C) Include the shadow in the menu windows rect so it doesn't get erased? (I ask about option C only because I don't care if the shadow is re-blended with the updated OpenGL contents since the menu is a modal task) Thanks! |

Oleg, Thank you! I'm looking forward to it. Would that be 9.71? Is there an ETA on the next verion? Thanks again. |

Hi Oleg, I just installed and recompiled with 9.80 but the menu shadow still constantly flickers over the updated OpenGL windows. No change at all. Did this not make it into 9.80 as announced or is there a misunderstanding of the flicker problem? In any event, can you suggest an easy way to disable the shadows on the menus until the flicker problem is properly fixed? Thanks, Edited by robosport |

I'm just bumping this topic back up to the top, hoping for a response after 11 days of waiting.

Hello, can you attach some easy OpenGL sample to check the problem? for 9.80: pCommandBars->GetPaintManager()->m_bShowShadow = FALSE; |

Oleg, Thanks for the easy solution to turning off the shadows. I'll work on creating a simple OpenGL app to make the problem easily reproducible. Thanks, |
