Can we split a menu?

   Hi All, 
Planning to create a menu along with an image. Example  " Help[?]"
Here "Help" is my menu text and "[?]"s my image.
I want to show a tool tip image when my mouse pointer pointing to the "[?]" image.
I shouldnt show any tool tip message if my mouse pointed in the menu text - ''Help"
Can we have any API which supports the above logic. ?
or 
Can we achieve the logic through Codejock ?

Suggestions are always appreciated..
