Approved way to Draw Custom Overlays?

   We have some things we want to draw over the graph, but OnPaint() doesn't call out to anything, and has the BeginPaint() and EndPaint() calls, which leads to flickering.

Is there a way around this?  Seems like calling a Draw() function would allow subclassing and overriding of the Draw() function and give more flexibility and less flickering.
