Hi If I right click
on a cell in the report control I get the default windows display. I would like to
use my own popup menu instead, in fact I do this already, but it only works
when I right click on a cell that doesn’t have focus yet. As soon as a cell is in edit mode/has focus, the default windows right click displays instead of my popup. Any ideas how I do this. Many Thanks Mark |

Hi,
First of all, I find it strange that rightclick enters editmode. I remember having an issue (or two, three, four...) and you (CJ) always said it's implemented according MS guidelines and did nothing about it.
Andre? Can you give me an example when rightclick does actually do something (except showing a popmenu) ??? (I don't use W7, so I don't know if MS guidelines change...)
Thanks

Hi Aaron.
I think I have miss lead you, is not that the cell goes into edit mode when you right click, which is doesn't, well not for me anyway. Its when you right click and a cell is already in edit mode that I want to still use my popup, and not the default windows popup. Sorry Mark

Hi Mark
Well, I tried with V15.1.3 and it enters editmode with rightclick and that is why I thought it was your problem.
To get own contextmenu you have to prevent showing default windows popup. Sometime ago I asked same question (see somewhere in Report forum) and Jason provided some code to get this going. I added some functionality to have Cut, Copy and Paste (because I think you are going to need it...) uploads/3701/TestContextMenu.zip
Good luck
