Docking Pane 8.6 ActiveX:

Is there a way to make the default state of a pane be floating?

Pane.floating is read only

Pane.AttachTo nothing doesn't work

DockingPane.AttachPane thisPane, nothing doesn't work

Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks

This is something I have been trying to figure out in the ActiveX version as well.  Does anyone know how to do this?  If it can't be done now, is this something to could be added in a future release?

The only workaround I can think of is to add the appropriate configuration to the registry and then use the 'LoadState' method to apply these values to a new pane.  I haven't tried this yet, but, in theory, it should work.

Is this possible now to make a pane be floating at startup?

I'm using the most recent XTreme toolkit Standard edition.

Yes, the only way woul be to use the LoadState or LoadString method to load a previous layout with the pane already floating.

But with LoadState you loose the current layout. When will it be possible to make a pane floating by code? Why is there is a "hide"-method but no "float"-method? Thank you.
