Hi,

My users have asked me to provide a way to drag a calendar event from the calendar and drop it onto the Datepicker control. This seems like a really good idea as they can change the date to a far away date very quickly. I can't seem to find a way of doing this.... i.e. drag and drop between these two controls doesn't seem to work.

Can any one help me  please?

Regards to all,
Boris

You don't need extra DnD for such operation - suppose you in MonthView - Press Control, select needed event and keeping Control select desired Day in Picker. MonthView will transfer to Non-continue MultiDay View where selected Day from Picker will be add. Now you can use usual event Drag and Drop
You can try samething in other modes (WeekView...).
Good to use CalendarControl.DayHeaderFormat = "%A, %B %d, %Y" in this case.
User can also adjust timerange for dropping event in normal visual mode now

That's really cool.

Month view is quite scary as they have hundreds of events. But in dayview to have 1st August with 1 December side by side is brilliant. Thank you . I never realised this functionality was there before.

I don't suppose you know of any other tricks like this?

Regards
Boris

Difficult to say - better ask some unusual question and I will try to answer. E.g. one of recent features client asked - large set of AllDay events for same day - in previous implementation it was restricted - now - almost not and also printed in print / printpreview
