Look at this neat Christmas skin used by this non-MFC app; it is slightly different for the toolbar & ribbon versions. I wish Codejock would pay their graphics artists to crank out a few classy skins like this for their ribbon users:
Ribbon style: http://flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=2108645319&size=o Toolbar style: http://flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=2108631125&size=o Also, even though the BCGSoft library is inferior to CJ, there is one little skinning trick that CJ needs to borrow from it: its demo allows you to specify any custom color to create your own custom skin from! It's true; go run their office 2007 demo to verify it. I love that capability, because every app should be able to automatically adapt to the user's desktop colors if the user so wishes -- not just use one of several bitmap skins. Now post a reponse so I have something to read. The lack of comments in these forums bugs me. |

[COLOR=brown]So is Codejock's skin framework capable enough to display the screens as indicated in the above links? Can the tree lists, for example, have a large photographic background?

Hi,
it can't be done using SkinFramework. Have to be added manually in your code.
