The new 10.4 syntax editor looks great - any chance of a class to support Perl?

I would like the following language support:
  1. Perl

  2. Perl

  3. Perl
And then nice to have (not at all essential but would be great)...
  1. UNIX shell (sh, ksh and bash),
  2. OpenVMS DCL (very pretty please).
FWIW OpenVMS is growing now that the Itanium boxes are shipping!

Indeed, it is a very good control  .

However, I can't use the "Alt characters".
That is I cannot tape the {, neither the #, [, \, @, ...

I can copy/paste them, but it is not really practical

Something interesting... It is actually supposed to be working Let us know more details on this problem -- which file do you open, in which place do you try to enter the character, any other details...

I just opened the sample application for x64 and begin to enter manually some text.

I am working on a french computer (win 64) with a french keyboard (AZERTY).

I cannot enter the characters produced by the combination with the "Alt Gr" key (right to spacebar).

I am downloading the complete XTPSetup_1040.
I willl try with the version in the samples directory of the installation, but I think I will get the same result.

If I remember correctly I reported this bug last year when the beta version of Xtreme Edit was available. In CXTPSyntaxEditCtrl::OnChar all chars are ignored if CTRL key is pressed. Alt+GR implies CTRL.

I have the same problem with the Alt Gr key.

I'm using the example application MDITextEditor from the
retail setup with Windows XP english SP2 with a German keyboard.

It's not possible to enter characters like {} with the Alt Gr key, but I can enter the characters with Alt+0123, Alt+0125, ...
