Hi,

In the last update (9.81) I was happy to see that the DockingPane Visual Studio 2005 theme was updated to reflect the latest changes MS made since the VS2005 beta.

When can we expect a Visual Studio 2005 theme for the CommandBars, and/or the rest of the controls in the suite? As it stands, it is very difficult to build a comprehensive VS2005 style interface... It's a weird mix of whidbey and vs2005. :)

So far it looks like only dockingpanes has the vs2005 style. I'm looking forward to the rest.

Thanks in advance, I love your software.

Hello,

Why you don't like theme for CommandBars?

Hi oleg,

Thanks for the prompt reply. The problem is that xtpThemeWhidbey does not always match the VS 2005 theme.

I use Windows XP Media Center Edition with the default theme ("Media Center Style" with "Energy Blue" color scheme) and this is how VS2005 and CB appear. Again, this is with a default install:

I hope this makes sense. Let me know if you need any additional information. Thanks!

Are you able to reproduce this issue?

I don't know if there is a way to work around it, because if I create a custom theme it will be used regardless of the Windows color scheme. This would not be ideal either.

Thanks.

Hello,

I see... :(

There was a lot of request that Media Center Style must acts exactly like Luna blue so we added it in last version.

For example if you set Office2003 theme it will have blue toolbars/menus.

but I guess we will revert it back and will add option that will be False by default.

Hi,

I understand. I think it makes sense to mimic what MS did with VS2005, but if we are just talking about a default value then whichever way is fine with me :)

Thanks!

I can confirm that this was changed in v2006 beta 1. The theme now looks like VS2005 when Media Center Style is applied. Thanks.
