I have run into the linking problem discussed in http://forum.codejock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=2934 where the remedy is to set the "Treat wchar_t as Built-in Type" compiler option. This gets rid of those errors, but causes others for me because my app depends on other third-party libraries that are not built with that compiler option. Not having *everything* compiled with that option leads to problems. It is not feasible for me to set that compile option in the other 3rd party libraries. Is there something else that I can do besides setting that compiler option to get around the linker error?

Hello, You can open _Toolkit project_ in IDE, change this option to "No" and rebuild dll/lib. |

OK. Is there a reason that the Codejock Toolkit project ships with this set to 'Yes'? Or was this a mistake that will be changed back to 'No' in future releases? What other effects might I see if I set this to 'No' when I build the libraries? |

Hi, "Yes" is default setting for new MFC projects for Visual Studio 2003 and 2005, so we had a lot of complains that we must change it to "yes". It will always "yes" in the future... may be we will extend Build wizard to allow change it before build. I don't see any problem to change it to "No" |
