I want to give my events a color.

so far I'm only able to give the events a color that is preset (0-10) but my users have to be able to choose what color the want for the event.

does anyone know how to do this?? (the color is picked using a colorpicker)

I can only find how to change the Events gripper\border color through the calendareventbusystatus using 11.2.2.  I would like to know how you were able to change the events background color to any of the preset 11 colors you mentioned.

I agree that we should be able to set any color to the background color of an event.

Found what 11 colors you mentioned. The 11 preset labels for an event.  I found you can add colors and labels to the label list collection.  So you can make it any color you want. So with a HACK, you can manipulate the label list to have some made up label and set it to the color your user chooses. In the online help for activex control v11.2, you can find the AddLabel Method that explains how this works.

At least there is a way to do this, but it is probably native to the control to set its background color, so why not make it a property for us to customize. Most likely because color is forced upon a label selection and you don't want to worry about who has precedence. I will make this a feature request.

thank you for the information at the moment we decided to keep it with those 11 colors but it will come in handy for future projects. If I find a "better" way I'll post it here
