on some panes (e.g. the toolbox pane on the gui_visualstudio7 sample) when you click on an auto hide pane icon (so it now appears) and then resize (enlarge) the pane by dragging it to the side, the pane is auto hidden before you complete the resizing (i.e. before you release the mouse button).

Once the mouse is not positioned over the docking pane, there is a small amount of times before the pane auto hides.  It appears that when you try to resize you can do so as long as you are done resizing in the normal amout of time it takes to auto hide.  What you need to do to fix this is to turn the splitter tracker off.  When the splitter tracker is turned off you will resize the docing pane in "real time" and not have the floating bar.
