Hi folks..

Can anyone point me to resources about Windows XP User Interface/
Experience Design? The only book I could get my hands on was "Microsoft
Windows User Experience" ( 0735605661/qid=1133866907/sr=8-1/ref=pd_bbs_1/002-9343078
-1021643?n=507846&s=books&v=glance">check Amazon.com
).
But that book is rather outdated (1999)...

Anything that fits the solutions provided by Codejock Software would be
appreciated...

Looking forward to some insightful answers :)

Have you tried:

http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/Resources/windowsxp/default.ms px

and

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/e n-us/dnwue/html/welcome.asp

I would say that the "Microsoft Windows User Experience" book is still mostly applicable. Somethings change often (e.g. the toolbar style at Microsoft seems to change on an hourly basis), but other guidelines are probably here to stay (e.g. capitalization rules, space between dialog items, general layout guidlines, etc)

Just my take on it...

Thanks for the reply!

Yep, I've downloaded the Visual Guidelines already. I was hoping
someone could recommend a book about that topic, but it's ok that way..
