Controlling the X-axis label frequency

   I haven't found the right clues yet in the documentation, so I'll ask here:
How do I control the interval at which X-axis labels appear? For example, I have a year's worth of data points, one point per day, but I don't want a label on every day. Just every Monday, or every 5th day, or something to get me started.
