How to use ReportRecordItemMetrics?

Hi,

Before everyone starts posting that you use this in the BeforeDrawRow event I am aware of that, however I am using the TrackControl and the BeforeDrawRow event never fires! 

Therefore I am trying to use ReportRecordItemMetrics to make some text Italic, however I can't seem to get access to this 

Does anyone know a way in which to access the ReportRecordItemMetrics for a Record or Row outwith the BeforeDrawRow event?
